A slip ring can be used in any electromechanical system that requires continuous, unrestricted rotation while transferring power or data from a fixed structure to a rotating structure. The slip ring is also called the rotating electrical interface, collector, rotor or switch. A slip ring can improve system performance by simplifying operations and eliminating frayed wires dangling from moving connections.
70mm through-hole slip rings provide routing space for hydraulic or pneumatic components or for mounting coaxial shafts. The LPT070 uses specialized fiber brush technology that offers several advantages over traditional contact ferrules, including multiple contact points per brush bundle, low contact force per fiber, and low contact wear rates. Additionally, fiber brushes require no lubrication and generate virtually no debris. The LPT070 has serviceable brush blocks.
