The slip ring can be used in any electromechanical system that requires continuous, unrestricted rotation while transferring power and/or data from a fixed structure to a rotating structure. The slip ring is also called a rotary electrical interface, commutator, accumulator, or rotary joint.
The LPT096 is a standard through-hole slip ring with an inner diameter of 96 mm and a compact outer diameter of 86 mm. Through holes provide guidance space for hydraulic, pneumatic or mounting of coaxial shafts. The slip ring is available in four lengths (depending on the number of turns required).
The inner diameter is 96mm, the outer diameter is 185mm, 6-way*5A, and the 96mm unobstructed through hole provides wiring space for hydraulic, pneumatic or coaxial shaft installation. Features long-life, fiber brush contact technology that provides stable performance in many demanding conditions.
The LPT096 uses our proprietary fiber brush technology which offers several advantages over traditional contact ferrules including multiple contact points per brush bundle, low contact force per fiber and low contact wear rates. In addition, fiber brushes do not need lubrication and produce almost no debris.
