A slip ring can be used in any electromechanical system that requires continuous, unrestricted rotation while transferring power or data from a fixed structure to a rotating structure. The LPT050 uses JINPAT fiber brush technology which offers several advantages over traditional contact ferrules including multiple contact points per brush bundle, low friction per fiber and low contact wear rates. In addition, the fiber brushes do not need to be lubricated and produce almost no wear residue . The LPT050 features field serviceable brush blocks.
