This unit can be used in any electromechanical system that requires continuous, unrestricted rotation while transferring power or data from a fixed structure to a rotating structure. Also called rotary electrical interface, commutator, accumulator, rotor or electrical rotary joint. It can improve electromechanical capacity, simplify system design, and eliminate potential damage during rotation. It is the main device of various precision rotary workbench, electrical testing instrument, manufacturing and process control instrument.

The LPT012 provides an economical and readily available solution when a compact through-bore configuration is required. This unit provides a 12.7mm bore for routing hydraulic or pneumatic lines and a compact 55mm outside diameter for minimal space applications. The 5 amp circuit is available in 6, 12, 18 and 24 ring configurations in 4 housing lengths. Similar in design to the very popular LPT012 series, this design features long life, fiber brush contact technology for ultimate performance in many demanding applications. The fiber brushes require no lubrication and produce virtually no debris, for maintenance free and lifelong operation.
